Struble Staff and Families,
As many of you are aware, the bridge that is located behind Struble Elementary (SE) is in need of repair. After further examination, the District has made the decision to close the bridge due to safety, until it can be repaired.
The SE Bridge will be closed effective Monday, June 21, 2021. The repair process will take some time, and we anticipate that the bridge will be closed at the start of the 2021 school year. We understand that many of our families and students utilize the bridge going to and from school and that its closure is an inconvenience. We are currently working with our Transportation Department to provide bus passes to students that utilize the bridge to travel back and forth from school to home. As we get closer to the school year, we will communicate with the families that have been identified to receive a bus pass and we will work with Transportation to make sure that the passes and bus schedules are distributed.
We will continue to keep safety as a top priority and at the forefront of our thoughts as we put plans in place for the upcoming school year.
